- All testers will need to bring in 1 Primary ID, but some may also need a Secondary ID to be checked in. IDs have to be original documents and CANNOT be expired. Pictures of IDs CANNOT be accepted. We have to have the physical ID to verify it is authentic.
- Primary IDs include State IDs, such as a Driver’s License, a Passport, or Military ID.
- Secondary IDs can be an alternate Primary ID, a signed Credit/Debit Card, a signed Social Security Card, or a signed, valid Conceal Carry ID.
- There may be other Secondary ID options depending on the exam company used. Check your exam instructions for details or contact us and we can assist you.
- Some exams require additional documents to check in. Make sure you have these with you when you arrive.
- AR Insurance Producer Exams: PSI requires 2 IDs to check in for this exam AND a Pre-Licensing Education Certificate (PLC) to verify that the training classes are completed. This should be printed AND signed before arrival. It is handed out after most sit-down training classes or emailed/downloaded through the online classes. Call or email us if you need assistance locating this. The PSI confirmation email is NOT the same as the PLC.
- NASM Certified Personal Trainers: PSI requires 1 ID AND proof of CPR & AED certification to check in.
- NRCME (National Registry of Cert. Medical Examiners): PSI requires 1 ID AND proof of Medical Credentials/Certificate of Training Completion to check in.
- Head coverings, such as hats, ‘beanies’, bandanas, durags and other headwraps are not allowed in the testing room.
- The only exception for this is for religious purposes.
- Coats, jackets, vests, scarves, etc. are NOT allowed in the testing room. No jackets of any kind for any reason will be allowed.
- PSI requires that testers pay to reschedule if they are not willing/able to remove their jacket.
- It is best to dress in layers, such as short sleeves & a sweater, so that you can add/remove layers as needed for comfort. Sweaters, cardigan sweaters, most hoodies & pullovers will be allowed.
- Dress appropriately. Pajamas, nightgowns, too short shorts, too low cut/showy shirts, etc. will NOT be allowed because they are considered a distraction to others. Also, some people have asthma and other breathing conditions so strong smells from perfumes, colognes, body odor, etc. are also a distraction. If there is a complaint because of smell or clothing, then a report will be filed which may ban the person from testing at our facility in the future.
- Don’t bring more than is NEEDED for check in and the test. Lockers are provided to secure personal items, but they are not very large so most things may not fit. Anything that cannot be locked in a locker will need to be stored in the vehicle. Tote bags, laptop bags, backpacks, etc. are too big for the lockers.
- Open Book Exams: Make sure to read the exam instructions regarding books.
- Most exams allow highlighting, but some do not.
- Most do NOT allow notes, but very few do.
- Most require the name and version of the book match EXACTLY to what is allowed, but some will allow different versions.
- We will check all books to make sure they comply with that exam’s requirements. If a book has anything that isn’t allowed, that book will not be allowed to be used for testing.
- Phones and other electronics: It is best not to bring in ANY electronics. However, any electronics left in the building MUST be turned OFF completely and placed in a locker.
- Phones & smart watches must be turned OFF AND put in a locker.
- Earbuds, headsets, etc., are NOT allowed in the building.
- Bluetooth devices, such as newer hearing aids, smart glasses, etc., will not be allowed in the testing room. Please be sure to bring alternative glasses to wear if they are needed to test.
- Any device that is found to be ON or makes a noise during testing will result in immediate dismissal. A report will be filed to the exam company who will inform the board or commission, and they may decide not to allow that tester to take that exam ever again.
- No weapons of any kind will be allowed in the facility.
- All exam companies have this requirement, regardless of conceal carry permits. Any tester with a firearm will NOT be allowed to test and will have to pay to reschedule.
- Law enforcement personnel are the ONLY EXCEPTIONS to this policy.
- Food and drinks are NOT allowed in the testing room.
- If you need to bring in a drink or snack, it will need to be in a closed container, non-perishable or refrigerated.
- Cough drops ARE allowed since coughing is a distraction, but should be unwrapped and in a clear zipper bag.
